Petrochemical Plants Components
Petrochemical plants convert natural resources such as crude oil and natural gas liquids into products for a wide range of applications. These plants produce many important building blocks for industrial processes, including ethylene, propylene, butadiene, and aromatics. Petrochemical plants have increased in size and complexity, and we have the technology and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) expertise to successfully participate and help you build these complex facilities in the most efficient ways.。

Ethylene Plants
About 80% of all petrochemicals are derived from products of ethylene plants, which are the heart of petrochemical complexes. Today’s modern ethylene plants are a complex network of more than 300 individual units, for thermal cracking, cracked gas compression and physical scrubbing, fractionation, adsorptive drying, catalytic hydrogenation and others, operating in the temperature range of 1,100°C to -170°C. Due to the complexity of the process only a few experienced contractors can offer competitive designs for ethylene plants today.

Acetylene Recovery
Ethylene is the most important product in steam cracker plants. Its manufacture is a highly competitive global business and maximizing operating profit through various technology improvements is important for all ethylene producers. Acetylene is an inevitable by product in steam cracking. It is a severe poison for downstream polymerization processes. Conventional distillation cannot reduce its concentration to the necessary levels. Therefore, acetylene is mostly removed by Selective Hydrogenation in steam crackers.

Polyethylene & Polypropylene Plants
Polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) belong to the polymers with the highest demand and growth rates worldwide. More than 50% of all ethylene produced is consumed in polymerisation processes for the production of PE and PP. Many years of experience in the polyethylene and polypropylene market have given us a profound knowledge base in both engineering and project execution for such plants. Our experience of having participated in PE and PP projects in the last 15 years gives us the capability to focus on the procurement planning and project development required to provide a truly successful plant.
